More of what we've been up to!

**Note** This blogging thing with pictures is driving my mom crazy. They don't match up like they do in preview mode, so we'll fix the fish names tomorrow.***Okay, we started out with breakfast at the Museo and it was yummy. Then we did some errands in town and then got to head over to the other side of the island and play in the sand and boogie board...yeah! Then in the afternoon we hung out at our house and swam in the pool and snorkeled off of the beach. Colby is relaxing in our hammock. Then we went to Kinta for dinner and we had some really good food. Mom and dad really liked it there.

The next day we went to Punta Sur and went snorkeling again. We like the beach there and the hammocks too. Oh yeah, we went back to the crocodile lagoon and saw three of them up close. Very creepy!

Okay, so here's the cool part about snorkeling. We'll try to tell you what the fish are called, and if you want to see a close up just click on the picture. Far left is some pretty coral and on the bottom is a Queen angel fish. On the top right is an Ocean triggerfish and below is a Yellowtail damselfish. They are very pretty and neon.

Left is a bunch of Jacks swimming around. Right is a Foureye butterfly fish.

Left is a Trunkfish and boy are they shaped funny! Right is a pretty purple fan coral and on the bottom are some fish.

Left is a Stoplight parrot fish with a cleaner fish right on top of it. Right is a Colby fish!

Can you find the fish in this picture? It's a Peacock flounder. On the right is a Queen triggerfish, they are not common we only saw one.

On the left is another Colby fish. Colby is freediving down to about 30 feet! On the right is a French angelfish.

Left is a Fairy basslet. It is a very bright purple and yellowfish and is also a very tiny fish. On the right is a Josh fish. He was free diving down over a piece of wreckage and the fish in that barrel kept coming out after him defending their territory. Josh thought it was funny, but mom thought his nose was going to become fish food!

Left is a juvenile Blue tang. They start out life bright yellow and then turn blue. Right is a juvenile French angel fish. They are so cool.

Okay, so today we went sailing on a catamaran in the Carribean. We started at 9:00 in the morning and sailed up to the north part of the island. It was so nice sitting up on the front of the boat. Then a big storm came up all of the sudden and we sailed back towards the marina. They barbequed lunch for us on the boat. The coolest thing was that we saw a bunch of flying fish! We love it here! Tonight we're going for pizza!

Some more fun things in Cozumel

Today my mom went diving and we hung out at the pool in the morning. Then it started raining around lunch. They were huge drops, but it was still warm and we kept swimming. After lunch, we went to San Gervasio Mayan Ruins in the middle of jungle on the island. They were cool and there were tons of iguanas there and we chased them around a bit. Then we went to the other side of the island for drinks and nachos at a place called coconuts. They have lots of parrots, turtles, and hermit crabs there. Then we came home and swam and played torpedo tag in the pool with our neighbors and watched a beautiful sunset.

Today we went to Punta Sur. It's an eco-preserve park. Our first stop was at the ancient Mayan lighthouse. It was built with a conch cuppola and everytime there was strong winds, the conch shells would make noise and warn the village. Then we went out to the lagoon to see some crocodiles. We climbed a big wooden tower and saw one...very cool. Then we drove to the lighthouse which has been there since 1934. It used to have a keeper, but now everything is done by machine so we got to go into the light house. We had to climb 132 steps to the top. The view was cool up so high. Josh had a moth stick to his shirt for a while. Then we went snorkling off the reef. There was 100 ft. visibility and we saw huge barracuda, an eagle ray, some lobsters, tons of fish, coral, and sea fans, but the best thing of all, a sea turtle. It was so cool. We played on the beach and swung in hammocks. We went out to dinner check out our great food. Then we went and got some ice cream at Mega. It was a great day.

Lazy Sunday in Coz!

Okay, so today we slept in until 9 am. Then we headed over to the east side of the island to go boogie boarding again. Today is voting day in Mexico, so everything was pretty much closed up and there were tons of Cozumelenos at the beaches. Tons of family parties. We just played at the beach.....somebody's got to do it!

Playing around Cozumel

Today before we went to the beach, Colby found the smallest gecko ever! Check it out! Josh made a purchase at Palancar of a real jasper and shark tooth necklace. Here he is modeling it. It was basically a rough day of hanging out and snorkling. We're trying to find an underwater camera so we can show you some cool things...we'll keep you posted.
